Talent Development Think Tank is rescheduled for Jan. 22-23
Talent Development Think Tank Co-Founder Andy Storch on the new dates and new opportunities
We are relieved that the community in Sonoma, specifically our partners and hosts in Santa Rosa, successfully made it through these tragic fires over the last few weeks.” - Jonathan Hodge
SAN RAFAEL, CA (Nov. 14, 2019) – After wildfires forced a realignment of resources, keynote speakers, facilities, and countless other considerations, organizers have rescheduled the Talent Development Think Tank for January 22-23, 2020, and reserved more space to accommodate some additional participants.
All 4 keynote speakers – Liz Wiseman, Josh Bersin, Julie Winkle Giulioni, and Michael Bungay Stanier – are on board for the new dates, and the event will be held at the same venue, the Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country. (Purchase tickets here!)
Originally set for Nov. 6-7, 2019, the event was postponed when the Kincade wildfire escalated to threaten much of the region and forced the evacuation of the Hyatt in Santa Rosa as the conference dates approached.
“We are relieved that the community in Sonoma, specifically our partners and hosts in Santa Rosa, successfully made it through these tragic fires over the last few weeks," said Jonathan Hodge, president and CEO of Advantage Performance Group, co-sponsor of the event. “The decision to postpone our event is still the right one, even in hindsight, as the safety and security of our participants are our highest priorities.
“I am also pleased we could quickly reschedule early in 2020 to insure that we deliver on our promise to add value to the coming business cycles for those attending. We are hopeful that these new dates will work for everyone previously committed and look forward to seeing the group together at last,” Hodge said.
Rescheduling the event made it possible for us to reserve the other half of the main session ballroom to accommodate about 50 additional participants. The original event was sold out and had a waitlist. “For those of you wondering about the effects of the Kincade wildfire, it goes without saying that it was an absolute tragedy that affected many thousands of people in Sonoma County,” said Bennett Phillips, who co-founded the event with his fellow Advantage Performance Group partner Andy Storch. “Luckily for us, the immediate area around our conference venue was untouched. Our hearts to go out to those affected, and we are looking forward to supporting several local businesses in the area who are helping make this event happen as they get back on their feet.”
“A special thanks goes out to our keynote speakers who, despite being in high demand, worked with us in the spirit of partnership,” Phillips added.
