Talent Development Tuesday - Celebrating a friend (icon of award badge)

Celebrating a friend

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.”
Aristotle

We love it when our colleagues win recognition.

Today we’re celebrating our thought leader partner Paul Middleton and his team at 1st90, singled out last month by Palo Alto Networks as their top People Team Supplier of Excellence for talent development.

Paul has built a business helping professionals activate new skills and habits on the job in the flow of their daily work. Both the name of his company and its mobile learning platform, 1st90 reflects a commitment to helping people learn how to do their best work in 90 days or less by teaching them new behaviors in small steps.

The 1st90 team took its cue from behavior-driven social apps for consumers to create a new mobile learning platform for professionals and their organizations. The result is a suite of apps on the 1st90 platform that leverage design thinking and habit research to create paths of learning people need to take to activate top performance in their work.

So far, Paul and team have created learning paths to support new managers, leadership development, onboarding, sales teams, and more. New paths are carefully being planned in stages for future development as the company readies itself for what is sure to be sustained growth.

This is the second major award for 1st90. They also won a Brandon Hall Silver Excellence in Technology Award in December (which we were fortunate to share with them and SAP) for Best Advance in Mobile Learning Technology. See more about 1st90 and their learning paths here.

Congratulations, Paul, to you and your team!

One great thing for 04.06.21 –  Happy maps
Speaking of paths, at Yahoo! Labs in Barcelona, Daniele Quercia and his colleagues imagine new ways to use online maps to improve our lives and offer not just the shortest routes, but the most enjoyable.
