All about digital learning with David James
Employees overestimate the value of passive learning experiences like classroom training. The actual learning of how to do your job is generally done as you are doing it.
In the Hot Seat: David James on effective approaches to digital learning and leveraging data.
Andy’s guest is David James, the Chief Learning Strategist at Looop, and he’s been a people development professional for more than 20 years, most notably as Director of Talent, Learning, and OD for the Walt Disney Company across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
David James is also the host of The Learning and Development Podcast, a prominent writer and conference speaker on topics around modern and digital L&D, and a member of the CIPD L&D Advisory Board.
In this interview, they discuss what effect rich learning vs. passive learning has on employee continuing education and why training doesn’t always translate to results. They also cover how to get the data you need to meet the needs of your organization.
