Starting a new L&D department from scratch with Lotus Buckner
I have treated the growth of HR and the talent development function just like a startup would. We’re starting from scratch and building the foundation and the roadblocks first because without a strong foundation, it’s really hard to do all the fancy stuff and the things that you see big companies doing.
In the Hot Seat: Lotus Buckner on starting a human resources department from scratch and how she overcame the challenges
Andy’s guest is Lotus Buckner, the Vice President and Head of People and Culture at Chowbus, a tech startup and food delivery platform. She is also the founder and CEO of LB Talent Solutions, where she offers customized career coaching services and speaking engagements.
With endless curiosity and a desire for continuous learning, Lotus Buckner has led a variety of people and culture teams for large organizations in healthcare and higher education to small startups in the tech space. As a self-proclaimed foodie, when she’s not fulfilling her professional passions, she loves trying new foods and then making them at home from scratch.
