Talent development the Army way with Shay Potter
What kind of workforce do we want to have at the end of this? It helps keep everything tied well together, and so you’re not producing training that does not fill not only the existing need but emerging needs.
In the Hot Seat: Shay Potter on onboarding and training in the Army
Andy’s guest is Shay Potter, a 20-year Army veteran who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan as a military intelligence specialist, design and change management planner, and has held multiple jobs developing the workforce and its leaders.
In this interview, they will walk us through how onboarding has been done and what training looks like for different fields in the Army. They also share how the Army handled and responded to COVID by switching some of the training to remote and keeping some people on site while others were working remotely.
