Building success in talent development – one thought at a time.

Back-to-work bliss
“The visionary starts with a clean sheet of paper
and reimagines the world.”
– Malcom Gladwell
Let’s face it—coming back to work after the holidays or some well-earned time off can feel tough. Productivity dips, motivation wavers, and it’s easy to feel a little out of sync. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
With the right strategies, you can help your yourself or members of your team ease back into work and keep that vacation glow going strong.
Check out the ideas from Forbes on How to Beat the Back-to-Work Blues after a Vacation. Here are some:
- Start a new habit – become an early riser, exercise, or walk your dog! Record your progress on Strava or another community app.
- Eat the frog – tackle those most pressing matters first.
- Socialize with colleagues – have a conversation that doesn’t involve work.
- Surround yourself with things that spark joy – artwork, mementoes, fancy tea or coffee.
Most of all, remember you are not alone! The back-to-work blues affect everyone at one time or another. By intentionally building some blissful extras into your routine, you can set yourself up for success—and make sure those post-vacation blues don’t stand a chance!
