Talent Development Tuesday
Building success in talent development – one thought at a time.
Breaking though gender bias
Unfortunately, data shows that gender bias is still alive and well in 2020. Here are some statistics that might surprise you:
- In 2019, only 6% of the top 3,000 companies had female CEOs.
- Among the top 200 companies in Australia, only 11 have female CEOs. And Aussie men named Andrew were 27% more likely to be CEOs than women.
- At the current rate of change, it’s estimated it will take until 2085 for women to reach parity with men in key leadership roles in the United States.
- Despite decades of bias training and organizational change initiatives, women hold just 15% of high-level positions in most industries, a figure that’s scarcely budged since the 1990’s.
Inspired by International Women’s Day, we’ve arranged a complimentary webinar on the topic with our thought leader partner Kelly Dozois, an influence expert and executive coach.
The 45-minute webinar will be highly interactive as we explore the choices we all have in how we respond when we encounter gender bias and ways to increase your influence power within its realities.
Please join us on Friday, March 13, at Noon Eastern, or register and get the recording if you can’t make it.
P.S. It’s not for women only!
