Today is International Women’s Day, and we’d like to give a nod to our thought leader partner Kelly Dozois of Ocean Beach Consulting.

An influence expert and executive coach, she led a webinar with us called BreakingThruBias™ in March of 2020 to explore the choices we all have in how we respond when we encounter gender bias and provide some action strategies (“bias busters“) for common patterns of gender bias. The webinar was beginning of a new learning journey she was developing to help organizations create positive change.

Fast forward 2 years and we discover that the theme for International Women’s Day for 2022 has a familiar ring: #BreakTheBias, with some great resources available here to help you take part.

How much has changed in the last 2 years? According to an article by Yael Klass in Forbes, the pandemic is still disproportionately affecting women and their careers. The pay gap and male-centric leadership continue to persist, and women have been leading the “great resignation,” quitting their jobs in greater numbers than men, often because they had no choice as the overly challenged default child care provider, Klass writes.
