Today is Election Day in the U.S., and perhaps never have so many of us felt so divided.

Won’t you pause with us and celebrate our shared humanity with words from the late American writer Maya Angelou (1928-2014) in Human Family, from I Shall Not Be Moved, her fifth collection of poems published in 1990. Human Family was also famously featured by Apple in a video ad spotlighting our diversity during the 2016 Olympic Games.
