Building success in talent development – one thought at a time.
Raising the bar in project management
“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.”
Michael Jordan
Take the best of what we know in effective project management, add in some extra ingredients for team effectiveness based on Google’s Aristotle project, bake in best practices for working with an agile mindset in the face of constant change. Put it all together in a competitive, game-based simulation to make it sticky and fun, and what do you get?
A new experiential learning program called Leading Projects with Agility (LPA), created by Advantage Partner Andrea Konuma and learning and development specialist Rizwan Alladin to fill a gap in available training. They initially developed LPA to help leaders at a beloved auto manufacturer and longtime Advantage client meet the demands of delivering change under challenging conditions by taking their leaders’ project management abilities to a new level.
It’s no secret that project management has taken over traditional operations as organizations adapt for effective change management. A 2021 article by Antonio Nieto-Rodriguez in Harvard Business Review notes: “Quietly but powerfully, projects have displaced operations as the economic engine of our times.” Project managers, it seems, are everywhere,
And the data on project management is startling:
- In 2017, the Project Management Institute estimated that the value of project- oriented economic activity worldwide would grow from $12 trillion in 2017 to $20 trillion in 2027.
- According to the Standish Group, only around 35% of the projects undertaken worldwide are successful.
If you’d like to know more about Leading Projects with Agility, please contact us or talk to your Advantage partner for a personal invitation to a complimentary 3-hour snapshot on October 18.
We’d like to help your organization raise the bar and deliver more successful projects.
