Talent Development Tuesday
Building success in talent development – one thought at a time.
The winds of change
“October is the fallen leaf, but it is also a wider horizon more clearly seen.”
Hal Borland
Autumn has arrived and with its falling leaves dancing on the wind we’re reminded of the inevitability of change in life. At Advantage, we choose to embrace this time of year as a chance to adjust our sails and ready ourselves for new opportunities.
With that in mind, we’re announcing that we have opted to conclude our formal relationship with the Talent Development Hot Seat podcast featuring Andy Storch and its associated event, the Talent Development Think Tank conference. We’ve been the proud sponsor of the podcast since its inception in May of 2018 and we also sponsored the inaugural Think Tank conference that took place in Santa Rosa in January 2020.
While we’re happy to see Andy take his growing business toward new horizons, we are choosing to sharpen our focus on our thought leader partners. Highlights from the episodes we sponsored and those featuring his interviews with Advantage thought leaders will remain on our website.
Our president & C.E.O. Jonathan Hodge adds, “While this marks the end of our formal partnership chapter, we consider Andy family here at Advantage. And as with any family member whose life continues to head down a unique and successful path, we joyfully await the celebration of his many accomplishments to come that shoot far beyond our humble beginnings together.”
Meanwhile, we are grateful to our clients and thought leaders for their partnership as we continue our mission to help organizations develop great people. The pandemic and all of its associated shifts and pivots have expanded the ways in which we can bring you outstanding, scalable, live and virtual experiential learning to help your people grow in new ways.
Speaking of growth, we hope you can take advantage of the free events we’ve set in motion for the remainder of this year featuring Leading Projects with Agility, The Inclusive Leader, BlueEQ: The Foundation for Psychological Safety, and Multipliers. We also have book club discussions coming up with career development expert Christine DiDonato, author of Get There Faster, and Sean Vanderhoven from The Wiseman Group on Multipliers and Impact Players.
Please contact us or talk to your Advantage partner to learn more and get a personal invitation to one or more of your favorite events.
One great thing for 10.11.22 – Yesterday, October 10, was World Mental Health Day. We discovered a little AI-powered app called Woebot, a chatbot that puts automated cognitive therapy at your fingertips. Founded in 2017 by a group of Stanford psychologists and AI experts, it’s now available free of charge to help you develop skills to challenge your thinking.
