Talent Development Tuesday
Building success in talent development – one thought at a time.
What’s trending in 2022?
“Understand: the future belongs to groups that are fluid, fast, and nonlinear.”
Robert Greene, American author
What’s trending in talent development this year? Our thought leader partner Libby Macomber from Celemi, a global company dedicated to turning experiential business learning and development into serious fun, joined our weekly partner collaboration call via Zoom yesterday to share what they’re seeing. Here are some highlights:
- People want to get together after being separated and isolated for so long. There’s a boom in business travel and a pent-up demand for face-to-face, on-site training.
- Corporations are needing to strategically restart and communicate their strategies across the organization. They’re not sure how best to do that because “the dust hasn’t settled” although disruptive change appears to have hit a plateau.
- Advances in technology are helping people communicate better than ever, and software solutions, e-learning, digital platforms, and plugins are everywhere in prolific abundance.
- Both face-to-face and digital learning experiences will continue to be in demand, and more organizations new to training will embrace virtual opportunities because of its convenience and availability globally.
- Companies of all kinds but especially those in product development are applying agile ways of working to drive success in an unpredictable world. This includes working closely with their customers in short iterations, delivering something of value at each iteration, leading teams to timely success, and allowing remote leadership to flourish.
How do these trends stack up at your organization? We’d love to know what you’re experiencing right now.
Celemi has powerful and popular learning solutions to address these trends available virtually via their new, custom built Celemi Learning Space™ digital platform as well as in traditional, face-to-face formats, and even both at the same time. Celemi Agile Move™ is performing well in pilots and initiatives where quick, global implementation is needed.
“I really felt impressed,” Advantage Partner Carlos Vargas told the group after he and fellow partner Irv Stern ran pilots of digital Celemi Agile Move™ with in-person teams on the Celemi Learning Space platform. “The whole thing was very powerful in terms of the intelligence you can get on what’s happening on the teams.”
Advantage Partner Jim LaVictoire, who also facilitated in the Celemi Learning Space, agreed. “It’s very robust. It gives you an inside look in terms of what each team is doing, what process they’re at in terms of making decisions, and if their decisions agree with each other within the team … so it is a pretty powerful platform.”
